After a distinguished, decade-long, career as a professional architect, Ilze has vast experience in many areas of design, including low-cost and high-end housing; civic, retail, commercial properties; health care facilities; hotels
and leisure spaces; and places of worship.
She completed her Bachelor’s in Architecture from the University of Pretoria, in 2000. After her practical training and finishing top of her class in the Council of Architects
practical examination, she sharpened her skills at Boogertman & Partners and Arch Visi Architects.
Ilze is the principal architect and managing director of Centreline Architects, the firm she founded in 2008. She
is also highly regarded as a specialist in the framework of local building regulations.
Passionate about creating spaces that rise to meet the unique challenges of the South African environment, Ilze always keep sustainability
and functionality in mind.
